Creativity Within the Child

1st Class Montessori prepares children for life and not just for the next academic level.

Respect for the Child

Dr. Maria Montessori believed that children learn best by doing.

For more than 20 years, 1st Class Montessori School has led the way in understanding, respecting and teaching children of multiple ethnic backgrounds using the Montessori method. We believe that Montessori fulfills their need to be independent, creative and individuals, and we incorporate other best teaching strategies so students are prepared for any academic setting. Our students receive individual attention because our classroom sizes are small, allowing teachers the freedom to focus on what’s most important – making sure students receive a first-class education. First Class Montessori School was founded by Evelyn Thorpe-Hibbler, who believes that all children can learn when given the opportunity. We are certified as an American Montessori School, affiliated with the American Montessori Society and by the Tennessee Department of Education.
